Today, new technology and over 25 years of experience allow the the company to continually produce a fantastic and sustainable product.<\/p>\n<p>Site selection is critical for the health of the environment and the fish.&nbsp; The pens are located in the Akaroa Harbour with strong flow and deep waters close to where wild salmon come to spawn from the cold, rugged Pacific Ocean.<\/p>\n<p>The stocking densities maintain at low level so that each pen is 99% water and 1% fish. The low stocking densities and the absence of disease in the fish means New Zealand farmers do not need to use antibiotics or vaccines to maintain the health of their salmon stocks.
