魚又稱吳郭魚、羅非魚等,原產於非洲,後於台灣廣泛養殖,經改良後的特選品種稱為台灣鯛或福壽魚。而90年代初研發,以海水養殖的台灣鯛則稱為「潮鯛」。潮鯛飼養時間比淡水養殖的台灣鯛長,故此肉地厚,脂肪低,而且沒有泥味,肉質比一般台灣鯛肉質更加緊緻爽口。

鯛魚柳已經去皮、去骨,解凍後可立刻使用。

Taiwanese Izumi Dai (Tilapia) is a seawater farm raised fish.  It has a mild taste and firm, crunchy texture. Unlike the clearwater farm raised Tilapia,  it has no muddy like off flavours. The fillet is skin off, pin bone removed and ready to use.
